Gift Certificates:

We offer them for daytime or overnight visits to Friends Wilderness Center. A great way to show your appreciation for a loved one, friends, colleagues, mentors, or teachers. Certificates can range from $10 (for an event) to any sum you name. Certificates can be mailed to buyers or users and are good for one year from date of issue.

Volunteering

We seek volunteers for one-time or ongoing activities to help care for the natural setting entrusted to us and to enable all to find spiritual nurturance here at the Friends Wilderness Center. If you are interested, Contact Us

1. Work solo or alongside other Work Day volunteers to maintain our trails, put up markers, maintain the tree house and yurt, clear fallen trees, and split firewood.
2. Lead a hike on FWC trails or the adjoining Appalachian Trail, share your expertise or outdoor hobbies.
3. Tell community organizations about FWC and help us staff a table at fairs. Connect us to comparable organizations. Show our PowerPoint presentation at your local community environmental or spiritual group.
4. Participate in the "greening" of Niles Cabin. Help us upgrade the cabin to meet self-sufficiency standards. If you know anything about solar electricity or other green upgrades, we'd love to hear from you.
5. Lead a group event, a poetry gathering, a bird walk, a nature hike, a spiritual retreat, whatever fits in with the Center's mission to connect people with the spirit through nature.
